FAVOR WITH THE GOVERNMENT!

After seeing literally hundreds of people come to faith in Jesus, it was time to head to south. The lord spoke to me clearly on the plane trip to Uganda that we would be meeting a government official in Mbarara, the second largest city in the country. Little did we know, we would meet the Mayor of the city. Through God, we met a man who was a friend of the Mayor. During the meeting, the mayor was visible surprised by the honor we brought him, including a handmade necklace from Alaska. He was not a believer but he gave us permission to preach anywhere in the city. When asked about a city-wide crusade he said, "by all means". When it was time to pray for him, he quickly called in several of his aids to get prayed for as well, even the minister of education of Uganda.

When we left the meeting, we went to the streets to proclaim the kingdom of Heaven. 20-30 people crowded around to hear how they could be saved! As we went through the market, many people were healed of various pains instantly. Headache, stomache pain and joint pain left instantly! Jesus was truly alive in the marketplace!!

Into Africa.......

We have been in Africa for a week now, ministering in the country of Uganda. Uganda is "white for harvest" and we have seen hundreds saved and healed by the power of Jesus. We spent the first 4 days in the capitol city of Kampala. Each day we went to different market areas of the city. People were hungry for the word of God. The city streets would literally resound with the prayers of repentance and salvation. The crowd would erupt with shouts of praise for each healing.

One day we went to a fish market to preach and saw another 20-30 people come to Christ. Then we went on a spontaneous boat ride with a fisherman on Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. We thought it was just a sightseeing trip but God had other plans. We went past a small fishing village and began to preach from the boat. The tribe entreated us to come ashore so we landed on the beach and preached the Gospel. No one had ever preached the gospel thier before 19 people made Jesus thier Lord. We promised them we would bring them bibles and build a shelter to worship in. The next day we brought the new belivers bibles. We plan on going back next year with a tarp for their new church.

We are at the equator now, and getting ready to preach the gospel in Sanga. The Lord put this entire trip together. It is good to step out in faith that he has ministry to do. After all, it is the Lord's ministry and we are still his disciples, still his followers and still his students. We let the Master do his work as he flows through us to do his will on the Earth today.
