Unreached Village hears the Gospel!!

The HALO Team was invited into a small village on the coast of Peru this week. This village had never been evangelized. Zero. Never. Nada. We were overcome with the thought that the Lord counted us worthy to bring His message there. We had met the village leader by "accident" and he was shocked when we offered to come to his community to share message of Jesus. "No one has ever come out to us....only the politicians when they want votes" he told us. And so I told the group of 200 villagers: "I came for your votes...but not for president, but for the KING OF KINGS"!!! Many responded and all the forgotten children were blessed with tooth brushes and parasite medication We especially thank our Alaskan Churches for providing a much-needed, well-stocked first aid kit for the entire community. We now have open doors to this village and 2 others nearby.

Walking in faith in dangerous places!!

"Don't go to Cerro Del Carmen" they tell us....."It is dangerous!!!!!" And they may be right. But we have not received a Spirit of timidity, but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. As it turns out, our mission base is smack dab in the middle of the hill with the worst reputation around!!!! We were confronted by the gangs, and Jesus quited that storm, Miles was assaulted and his assailant came to Christ...and just last week, a man was murdered a block from our building, and the widow also received the Lord!!! So come on with us to this hot spot of devilish activity and you will see the faithfulness of our RISEN SAVIOR. "WHAT CAN MORTAL MAN DO TO ME!!!"

We put on a community festival this past weekend where we brought the simple message of Christ to the lost ones, the forgotten ones. We are especially proud of our youth group who danced for the Lord with all their might. They did this in their own neighborhood, risking ridicule from their friends. Jesus gave them boldness and they want to minister again!!! And so we have 2 more unreached villages near our base and as the Lord makes a way financially, we will be faithful to go. If the Lord puts it on your heart, you can bring the gospel to these unreached villages for about $300. (This includes community first aid kit, toothbrushes, and parasite pills.) Holy Spirit touches weavers group-

radical new designs

Our "Ladies" are doing so well! They have only been making bags for 3 weeks now and we are blown away by the quality of their work. It is the Lord working through these women. You see, they have suffered most of their life in poverty and abuse. Three fourths of them live in one room shacks with dirt floors. One in the group is homeless, one is a widow, and 3 or 4 are illiterate. We are also blessed to have a disabled man in the group as well....he swallowed his pride and joined the group so that he could help his family. And so, we have been enjoying intimate fellowship each week with the group, and they are progressing in the spirit as well. Little by little of course. Below is a picture of Olga's house. She had us for dinner last week. One room, 9 by 9, kitchen bedroom, and dining room. nasty everything. But such a humble, broken woman that keeps walking. She testified that just days before we shared the gospel with her, she was planning her suicide. "God has given me a second chance" she told us as she wept.

Three Hundred Treated for intestinal parasites.
One of the basic human needs, clean water, is non existent in these areas, and therefore, 80% of the population suffers with intestinal parasites. This is especially dangerous in children because the infestation leads to anemia, which has a direct impact on the children's brain function. Please help us bring more medicines!!! Mayor offers HALO property!!We met the Mayor of Huarua this week and he was very excited about the work we were doing in the city. He even offered us a 100 year lease on a property in the city!! We will be meeting with him this next week so please keep this in prayer!

Miracles of healing bring 2ND witch-doctor to Christ !

I have never heard someone yell the salvation prayer......but if you were bound by Satan's dark deception, you would probably shout too when you found freedom! This gentleman was listening to us for an hour, and when we prayed for healing, God got his attention. One man knees were instantly healed, and 2 women were released from the grip of tendinitis and arthritis on the spot!! One felt intense heat and "loosening" the other felt a rush of God and all the pain left. Meanwhile, the man whose knees were healed was jumping and running and praising God! It was then that Many believed in Christ, including the Medicine man from Huacho!!!!

Ipod is revived after plunge in the pool.

Mouth to mouth resuscitation and prayer brought my Ipod back from the grave this week! Completely submerged and filled with water, there was little hope, but Jesus was faithful! The Ipod was completely dead after the incident, but to our astonishment, it worked like new the next day! The best part was that the video footage of the witch doctor coming to Christ was saved! Government to train literacy in HALO House!

We will be starting literacy classes in our building starting in March. 3 women in our group are illiterate, and many more in the community. It is free for the community and we look forward as these ladies can read the word of God for themselves.
