FOOD FOR THE POOR!

We give God glory and praise for what he is doing in the world today! Over the week-end, we brought a healthy meal to over 1,600 poor people. Over half were children that rarely get enough food to eat. On Friday we went with Pastor Wilma to an area on the outskirts of Lima. The people were so grateful and thankful that people care about them. There were a group of "tough guys", maybe 30 or 40 men that were just hanging aound, not even there for the outreach They stayed on the fringe, not even coming for the free meal. When we prayed over the food, they even mocked with laughing and yelling some things. But as they sat there, I felt the tug of the Lord saying, "serve them where they are". So I grabbed spencer and we served each of them with a hearty plate. They warmed up a bit, gobbling the food and wondering what kind of event this was.

Tough Guys are touched

I realized that God wanted to get this group of men, so I approached them and, through a word of knowledge, called out a man with an ankle injury. A man came forward and had a taped and bandaged angled. He unwrapped it and we prayed for it and it was instantly healed. I told him to jump and run around, he did, and threw away the bandage. Lets just say, Jesus got their attention. We prayed for a few more men including a man who said he felt like someone was opening up his arm and doing surgery! Wow. He also was healed. I explained that they had just seen the power of God and Jesus did all this because of His love for them. 20 of the 40 men asked Jesus for salvation on the spot, giving them their life and comitting to follow Him. But wait, there´s more, Each of them recieved a bible and a "new Christian" work book. I explained how to read the bible, how to pray, and how to walk in their new faith. A few minutes later, Jenson, Miles and I prayed for a boy who was deaf in one ear. The ear opened after 3 times praying. I called for the boys mother, who tested him and testified that he could now hear!!!

The next day we spent in the dusty streets of Huaral. The boys are troopers, not to mention my lovely pregnant wife. I told them that now they know how Jesus must have felt as He went around helping people. The heat here in the days is very intense, but thankfully, dry.

Thanks to our friend Javier, We were able to reach many people in the city with prayer and encouragement!

After the radio and TV, we fed close to 500 children around the city. Many children were encouraged and blessed.

Jesus said "let the little children come to me" It was wonderful to see the children in the streets get their faith built up as miles shared with them encouraging words!

Demon comes out of a young woman

In the evening, we shared at a church in Hural. We ministered to about 400-5oo people, and even the boys sang a song in english and spanish. During prayer time, a young woman (pictured below after her deliverance) came forward for prayer. She started crying, then wailing, then she began flopping on the ground like a fish , screaming. I knew the Lord was delivering her. We commanded the demon to leave, and she went limp, completely still. Five minutes later she recovered, in her right mind, and visibly whole.

Please remember, all of this is normal Christianity.

MOBBED IN THE JUNGLE ......... FOR BIBLES !!!!!!!
While in Lima, we met up with Pastor Dennis, a friend we had traveled with 2 years earlier with in Bolivia. He lived full time in the Peru Jungles for several years and has several ministries to the nation of Peru. He introduced us to Pastor Edgar from Huanaco, a city deep in the Andes. We felt the Holy Spirit´s leading to visit the city of 100,000 people and minister wherever we could. We went to a car rental place to get a car and they said "you will need a truck, it is the rainy season". Little did I realize what a journey we were about to embark on.

Jordan, Javier, Jenson, and Miles left at 6 am to beat the Lima trafic and stared the long climb over the LONGEST mountain range in the world. Even our 4 x 4 toyota was chalenged with the road. In the matter of one hour, we were at 15,000 feet! We struggled for breaths at that altitude and marveled at the beauty of the snow-covered peaks around us. We didn´t stay for long, we were in shorts and t-shirts and it was close to freezing. Even the vendors were laughing at us as we were clearly not "dressed for the occasion". It was another 6 hours to the Huanuco.
In the morning, we met with Pastor Edgar, who feeds 1,500 children each week, and visited an orphanage he is building. It was wonderful to see his vision "saving a generation". We then embarked on another wild ride, going deeper into the heart of Peru.

Into the Jungle.....
I have never gotten carsick before, but as they say, there is a first time for everything! Curve after curve after curve after curve after curve after...get the point? Thousand foot cliffs hung over the road and dozens of waterfalls made the scenery world-class spectacular. Within a few hours we were in the upper Amozon Jungle, the steamy heat and humidity was what you would expect. We took a short walk into the jungle, finding such things as leaf-cutter ants, tarantula, a cave full of bats, and dozens of beautiful butterflies. Even an ant the size of Miles´pinkey! We left time for an outreach in the market of Tingo Maria, a jungle town of about 20,000.

Ice cream man testifies of a miracle!
We pulled up in the market and began praying for the sick. A man selling ice cream was complaining of sharp stomache pains, after we prayed, he told us ALL the pain had left. He was so excited he grabbed our bullhorn and testified to the crowd that it was a miracle. We thank Jesus for healing this man and showing His love to the people of the jungle. "Many of you have forgotten God, but He has not forgotten you" I yelled. "You have seen the Love of Jesus here today, He wants your life, all of your life!" 20 adults and around 30 children were so touched by Jesus that they wanted to recieve the gift of salvation and give Jesus their lives. I prayed for them and told them what it means to follow Jesus. We had purchased new believer bibles earlier in the day for this occasion, but didn´t realize the hunger of the people.

As I began handing the bibles to the new believers, they began rushing at me and pressing in on all sides. I stopped and yelled" Do you know what this is? It is the very words of God! Jesus loves this, you are so excited to recieve His word! " Jenson and Miles were handing out candy, and told me later, people were asking them for bibles, and not even candy! So pray for these people now, that they would continue in the faith, that they would read the word and obey all that Jesus has commanded. Thank you all for praying for us and know that as you pray for this ministry, you are joining with us in this work, you are partakers in the harvest , and you will surely recieve a blessing.

Mayor offers us the national stadium and police force!
The next day Pastor Edgar arranged a meeting with the mayor of Huanoco and the Chief of Police. We recieved a warm welcome he asked why we were there. I told him we wanted to have a Festival for Families and Children around this coming Christmas. I also explained that we didn´t want it to be just our event, but the city´s as well. This way, the city would also show they care for the poor children of the city. He loved the idea and pledged the citys support. I asked him the city would donate the plaza, but he said it would be too small. " We will give you the stadium (holds 20,000), help you set up the platform, and give you police for security. We were honored and told him of the Blessings that come to any city that welcomes Jesus. We also met with the chief of police who was deeply mooved by encouraging words given by the team. He likewise pledged his support.

GOING TO THE GHETTO!!

As you can see from the photo, Our soul safari entered an area of Lima where lawlessness runs rampent. Even the taxis need protection from the thugs! After an hour of prayer, we went into the ghetto to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom. We were joined by a group of teens who had songs and dance coreographed to popular christian songs. The group ¨cracked open ¨the atmosphere and whithin 5 minutes a crowd of 200 had swelled in the streets. We believe and angel was sent to help us get the PA system of a local vendor. We asked the music vendor if we could use her PA system and she said ¨no¨even when offered 50 sols for 10 minutes(alot of money to them). Then a complete stranger says to the women ¨Let them use the speakers and your business will be blessed and your family will be blessed¨ Immediatly, and to our surprise, she said yes. We asked the security for permission to play the music, preach, and pray for the sick and they said yes, for 20 minutes!!!

A little while later, a security police officer came through the crowd, I thought to shut us down. But instead of kicking us out, he wanted prayer for healing, and he was healed of his pain on the spot!! Many more were healed, including a man who had ringing in his ears. ¨Jesus loves the people of Lima!, You may have forgotten Him but He has not forgotten you!¨ I yelled to the crowd. More than 50 people committed their lives to follow Jesus. I asked how many of them felt the power of God and below are the hands that were raised who EXPERIENCED Jesus in the market place.

We will never know the full extent of what took place that day, but to see more than 50 people testify they FELT Gods presence and power is very nice. We thank everyone who is prying for us here and we pray for all of you as well that God would prosper you and fill you fresh with his amazing love. His love and grace is truly amazing.

WITCHDOCTOR CONVERTS AFTER SEEING THE POWER OF GOD!!!!
We spent another day of on the streets of downtown Lima on Tuesday. Jesus showed up with His power and many people were healed instantly. Everyone in the crowed was amazed and glorifying God. A dozen people recieved Jesus as their Lord on the spot, and prayed for the forgiveness of thier sins and commited thier lives to Him. We gave each one a bible and new believer book. That is when the Holy Spirit spoke to me to break off the power of witchcraft of the people. I explained to the crowed that the witch doctors put curses on thier lifes. "Jesus showed HIS power today"· I yelled. I asked the group of 50 or so who wanted the curse of witchcraft broken. A man came right up to me, bald headed, very muscular, anger in his eyes, and bold. I took his hands and took authority over every spirit of darkness, broke every curse, had him renounce witchcraft, and also had him ask God for forgiveness. I then asked him if he wanted to follow Jesus and give Him his life, he prayed a prayer of salvation and committed his life to Jesus on the spot! When he opened his eyes, he was visibly and undeniably different, HE HAD LOVE AND LIGHT IN HIS EYES AND A SMILE ON HIS FACE! ( my interpreter saw this radical transformation as well) . So I told him not to go back to the witchdoctor again, "I am the withdoctor" was his reply!!! He explained he had come to check out what was happening on the street and saw that the power of Jesus was greater than the power of withcraft! He said he had wanted to change his life somehow and when he saw these things, he new it was time to give his life to God. WOW. I pray anyone reading this would get filled with the Holy Spirit right now. Now wait, ask the Lord to fill you , say " I want you Holy Spirit........I think you are going to get touched by God right now, so spend a few wonderful moments with Him......

GPS needed to reach remote community!!!!
Our soul safari was an adventure over the weekend, when we drove over 2 hours on bumpy dirt roads to a remote village outside Lima. We needed a GPS device to reach the area where we fed over 500 people in 2 days. We walked up and down the dusty streets and called the poor with bull horns. Everyone who came recieved a meal, was ministered to, and heard the word of God! In the evenings, a hundred people would gather to hear the words of Life, (las palabras de Vida). Our van driver Carlos, said he felt "electricity" in his body. The people were so greatful that God cared for them so much to come all the way there with free food and prayers. Actually, the local church there had been praying for a year for something like this!

Spencer suffers for the gospel!
As we were walking through the village, inviting all to come eat free food, a small white dog came out of nowhere and violently bit Spencer (age 5) in the heal. By the grace of God, there was no puncture, but terrible bruising. Even in his pain and tears, Spencer rejoiced that he had sufferd for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ! All is fine now. Let us all remember that the enemy will nip at our heals, but Jesus has crused his head.


Woman is delivered of a demon.

At one of the evening meeting, a woman came forward who had a demon. She asked Jennie to pray for her. As Jennie took authority over the spirit of darkness, the woman began to cough uncontrolably. After a few minutes of prayer, the woman was free. She had been to a witch doctor who had cursed her but she found freedom in Jesus name!

RIGHT OUT OF THE BOOK OF ACTS!!!!!

Dozens are healed instantly and over 100 people give thier lives to Jesus!!

We felt a stirring in the spirit for souls in the market on Monday. After an hour of worship with the team, Jenson, Miles, Javier, and Jordan went to a market to pray for people. WOW!!! Jesus healed every single person instantly. Even a man with a cane came forward with leg problems. He walked away (to the amazment of the gathering crowd) and was twiriling his cane in the air. The crowd began pressing in and I explained it wasn´t us healing, it was the power and Love of

Jesus Christ. I told everyone who had pain in their body to put their own hand on area with pain. Simply put, Jesus was present, and after the prayer, several of the people began freaking out because they were healed. One woman kept moving her shoulder in astonishment. By this time, it was like the crowed was plugged into and electric socket. Excitment, joy, peace, even weeping began to decend on the group of about 50-60.

That is when I yelled "Jesus has got your attention now!!"

With many words I explained to them that Jesus wants a relationship with them and wants top save them. We prayed with over 25 people who wanted to give thier lives to Jesus......Then the spirit had us slip away....

Armored police arrive on the scene!!!

I wasn´t even aware but the security in the outdoor market had alerted the police (complete with bullet proof vests) because of the "crowd concerns" (in the past, the police have broken things up because they think someone is inticing a mob). At the perfect timing , a woman (perhaps even and angel) called us into her store to bless her store. The security could do nothing then, because we were in a private store. We continued preaching and another crowed gathered who wanted to hear the words of Life. Another 30-40 prayed with us, giving thier whole life to Christ, committed to following Him all their days. We slipped out the side door and within a minute, several women were asking for prayer for healing.

I am telling the truth, I have never seen so much instantaneous healing, I am not lying or exagerating. Even Jenson (age 9) and Miles (age 7) will testify, every single person was healed. They would know too, for they prayed and layed hands on every one I prayed for. Later that night Miles said at one point when we were praying for the sick, he saw what he said looked like gold glitter on my hands. Wow, Jesus showed up.

Bones "pop" and shift.

Twice while we were praying for the sick, I felt bones shift and pop. One womans wrists were healed and another womans ankle. The woman with the healed ankle actually felt the bone move and stopped my prayer early cause she new she was healed. She began hopping and jumping and praising God. Of course, by this time, another crowed had gathered, spilling out into the street for we were on a sidewalk. This time, even the security was at peace with us because they saw and heard what was happening. 20 -30 more prayed for Jesus to save them and confessed faith in Jesus.

This happened on Monday, January 15, 2007 in Lima, Peru. Thank you all for praying and continue to pray for this ministry.

7 Million Neighbors!

We sense a destiny on the nation of Peru, Once rich with Gold, Peru will be a nation that carries the Glory of heaven. We have been here just a couple days and have had a chance to pray with young and old to recieve Christ as thier savior and follow Him. Even Jenson and Miles have prayed for children on the street and shared with them why Jesus is such a good friend. Even a young 11 year old girl named Brigitt. Keep her in prayer; she is one of the many street kids, selling things on busy streets. Yes, an 11 year old girl, alone on the streets of a city of 7 million. She was transformed before our eyes, beeming with joy after Jenson prayed for her. She then followed us around for an hour.

We have setteled in to an apartment in Lima, and through the wonders of God´s grace, we have a wonderful Christian nanny helping with the children and everything else. God has met us every step of the way. Thanks everyone for the prayers and please, keep them going.

GOD IS MOVING IN AMERICA!

We have been in the "Lower 48" for about 2 months and it is good to see the Lord doing his work in America! We have had a good time and have had the opportunity to minister to dozens of people one-on-one, here are a few highlights from people the Lord touched in Florida, Georgia, and Wisconsin.

JEWISH MAN SEES GOD IN THE GENTILES!

We spent several hours with a Jewish man in FLorida who was astonished at our faith. When we told him Jesus (called JESHUA in Hebrew) was messiah he jumped up and said "do you know what you are saying? My wife needs to here this too!" We shared our testimonies of what God is doing in our life and in the nations. We also told him of God's great love and destiny for Isreal. It was wonderful to see his faith increase on the spot! A day later , we gave his contact info to our Jewish pastor friend, Bruce Elman, http://lchaimmessianic.com who promptly called the man to pray and share things from a Jewish view. Please pray for salvation for this Jewish man now, his name is PRAISE!

THE POOR GIVE US MONEY IN DOWNTOWN ATLANTA!

We spent 2 days ministering on the streets of Atlanta, we prayed for over a dozen people each day. We encouraged several homeless people that God had a plan for them. We also prayed for a gentleman, who was a Vietnam vet, and having problems in his life. After we prayed, God touched this man so mightily that he took out what little money he had and put it in my hand. I told him "NO" but he insisted with the remark "You will never know how much that meant to me."

How many people do we pass by each day that need encourgement? You can do this to! It is not hard, but it takes boldness. Boldness comes when you are filled with the Holy Spirit.

ACTS 4:31: And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

I am not just saying "having" the Holy Spirit, but being filled to overflowing. So I encourge you today: Be filled, Overflow, and let boldness manifest in the streets and marketplaces. God wants to give you more!

Luke 11:13 " how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

BUDIST FEELS THE POWER OF GOD!

While in Wisconsin, we were at a hotel and met a young Lady. I asked her "tell me about Jesus" She said she was a Budist. I asked her if I could pray for her that God would make Himself real to her. When I was done praying she said "I felt that!", her eyes wide open in shock. I new her heart was open as well. I told her it was the Jesus , alive and making Himself real. I told her to follow him, read the bible and talk to Jesus each day. Thank you Lord for making yourself real!
